Renewing and ending a lease

When a lease is approaching its end date, Keyio surfaces a renewal action item. From there you can start a renewal, which generates a renewal document pre-filled with the updated terms (new end date, adjusted rent if applicable) for signature — see Lease renewals in Contracts & E-signature for how the signed renewal terms get applied automatically.

When a tenant moves out and you're not renewing, mark the rental as ended from its settings. This closes out the payment ledger and stops any further reminders or escalation for that rental, but keeps its full history (payments, documents, contract) accessible for your records — nothing is deleted.
