Adjustments: refunds and extra charges

Record one-off amounts on a rental — a refund to the guest/tenant, or an extra charge — outside the regular rent.

What an adjustment is

An adjustment is a one-off amount tied to a rental, separate from the recurring rent or booking price — for example, a deposit deduction refunded back, a cleaning fee charged after checkout, or a goodwill credit. Each entry has a concept and an amount (positive for a charge, negative for a refund) and a date, and appears in the rental's own record — it doesn't touch the property's expense ledger or, for long-term rentals, the monthly payment schedule.
