Sending payment reminders manually

Reminders are never sent automatically — you decide when and whether to send one.

Why this is manual by design

For a pending or due payment, you'll see a "Send Reminder Now" action on that month's row. Nothing is emailed to your tenant unless you trigger it yourself — Keyio deliberately doesn't auto-send payment reminders, so your tenant never gets an unexpected message because of a scheduling job or a data mistake on Keyio's side. This option isn't available for rows already marked late, since those are handled through the escalation ladder instead.

Clicking "Send Reminder Now" opens a confirmation dialog before anything is sent: it shows the tenant email(s) on file for that rental, lets you deselect any or add up to 5 addresses (a typed address is used for this reminder only and isn't saved to the tenant record), and flags any renter with no email on file as unreachable. If no address is selected the send is blocked, and if delivery fails you get a clear error rather than a false "sent" confirmation.
