Guest registration in Keyio: SES, Mossos and Ertzaintza at a glance

Which authority applies to your property, and how Keyio decides where to submit a guest.

Which authority applies to you

Every property in Spain must register guests with SES.HOSPEDAJES, the national Ministry of Interior system. Properties in Cataluña additionally report to Mossos d'Esquadra, and properties in the Basque Country (País Vasco) additionally report to Ertzaintza. Keyio detects your property's region automatically and shows only the credentials and submission options that apply to it — you don't need to figure out the right authority yourself.

The registration flow

You send guests a magic-link form (or they fill it in on check-in), they enter their details and scan their ID, and Keyio prepares the submission the way each authority actually expects it: sent directly for SES, and as a downloadable TXT file for Mossos d'Esquadra that you upload to their portal. Ertzaintza doesn't yet have an automated file export — Keyio takes you to the official Ertzaintza portal with your guest data ready to reference, but you enter it there yourself. Configure your SES/Mossos credentials once per property from its compliance settings.
