The property's registration link and QR code
One fixed link per property, also as a QR, on top of each booking's link: the guest finds their booking without seeing any.
What it is
Each booking has its own registration link, which works exactly as before. On top of it, a property can have one fixed link, also printable as a QR code, for the guests whose contact you don't have or who arrive without having filled it in: put it in the welcome guide, on the door or in the platform's message.
The guest gives the dates of their stay and, if they can, their booking code or the last 4 digits of the phone they booked with. Keyio reads both from Airbnb's calendar; for any other booking you can type the code yourself, and the guest's email or phone on the booking also works. The link never shows anything about any booking: not its name, not its dates, not who is already registered.
If what the guest gives matches exactly one booking of those dates, the guests they add go straight into it. If not — for instance on Booking.com, whose calendar brings no code — the registration waits for you: you assign it to its booking or discard it.
- 1Open the property → Edit → Registration step.
- 2Turn on "The property's registration link (also as a QR)".
- 3Copy the link or download the QR code and print it.
- 4Pending registrations show in Action required and on the booking with those dates: "Add to this booking" or "Discard".
Option "Assign on its own when only one booking has those dates": a registration goes into that booking even if the guest gave nothing to check. Off by default, so you review each one before it counts or is filed.
"Change the link" makes a new address: the old link and its QR stop working at once, also for a guest filling it in at that moment. Use it if the QR ended up somewhere it shouldn't.
A registration nobody assigns is deleted with its data 30 days after its check-out; one the guest never sent, 14 days after it was started.
