Guest registration: SES, Mossos and Ertzaintza

Which authority applies to your property, and how Keyio decides where to submit a guest.

Which authority applies to you

Properties in Spain register their guests with SES.HOSPEDAJES, the national Ministry of Interior system — except in the two regions with their own police register: Cataluña reports to Mossos d'Esquadra and the Basque Country (País Vasco) to the Ertzaintza, instead of SES. Keyio detects your property's region automatically and shows only the credentials and submission options that apply to it — you don't need to figure out the right authority yourself.

The registration flow

You send guests a magic-link form (or they fill it in on check-in), they enter their details and scan their ID, and Keyio prepares the submission the way each authority actually expects it: sent directly for SES, as a downloadable TXT file for Mossos d'Esquadra, and as a downloadable XML file in the Ertzaintza's official format — you upload those two on each police portal (for the Ertzaintza, in the Registro Hostelero's “Envío fichero” tab). Before generating either file Keyio checks the data against that authority's rules and lists anything it would reject. Configure your SES credentials, Mossos police ID or Ertzaintza establishment code once per property from its compliance settings.
