Use Keyio from ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant
Connect your AI assistant to Keyio and run the day-to-day by talking to it: invoices, rent payments, maintenance, documents and reports.
What it is
Keyio has an MCP server: a standard way for AI assistants to work with your apps. Once connected, you can ask your assistant to look things up in Keyio or to do them for you, in your own words.
It is included in every plan. What the assistant can reach follows your plan and your permissions: expenses, rent payments and reports need Base, Plus or Premium.
How to connect it
It takes a minute and there are no keys to copy.
- 1In your assistant, add a custom connector (in Claude: Settings › Connectors › Add custom connector; in ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code, the equivalent for MCP servers) with the address https://gokeyio.com/api/mcp.
- 2Sign in to Keyio when it asks you to, and choose whether the assistant can only read or also make changes.
- 3Ask it something, for instance "which rents are late?".
What you can ask
"File the invoices in my inbox" — after forwarding them to your Keyio invoice mailbox. It reads each one, tells you the property and the amounts, and records the expense with the invoice attached.
"Ana paid October's rent by transfer yesterday" · "Who is behind on rent?"
"Open a maintenance request: the boiler in the Calle Mayor flat is leaking" · "Close it, it cost 120 €"
"Add the signed contract to María's rental" · "Show me the insurance policy of the beach flat"
"How much did I make in 2025?" · "Tax report of the Calle Mayor flat for 2025"
"Add the guests of this weekend's booking" and, if you have automatic SES sending on for that property, "file the guest registration".
Figures from reports are estimates: check them with your tax adviser before filing.
Getting a file in (an invoice, a contract, a photo)
In claude.ai and other chat apps, a file you attach in the conversation cannot be passed on to Keyio. Two ways round it:
Forward invoices to your Keyio invoice mailbox (Finance › Invoice inbox, or ask the assistant for its address) and ask it to file them.
Or ask for an upload link: the assistant gives you a link, valid once for 30 minutes and without signing in, that you open on your phone to pick the file or take a photo. It goes straight where you said.
Assistants that can read files on your computer (Claude Desktop with file access, Claude Code) can attach a PDF or photo directly.
What it can and cannot see or do
It works with your own permissions: on a property shared with you as a viewer, it can look but not change anything.
Guests' document numbers and dates of birth are shown masked. Bank accounts and owners' ID numbers are only shown to the owner or an editor.
Assistants ask before deleting anything, and the guest registration is only filed with SES when you ask for it.
Settings › Developer lists the connected apps and every call they make; disconnect one there at any time.
